NEW YEAR'S EVE FIREWORKS

Excerpt from the “Municipal Noise Control Regulations”:

Section 7: FIRECRACKERS, BIRD SCARERS, AND OTHER SIMILAR EXPLOSIVE DEVICES

Within the municipality of Garnich, it is prohibited to use firecrackers, bird or animal scare cannons, or other similar explosive devices within the built-up area or within 100 meters of the built-up area. However, the mayor may authorize such activities upon request during public celebrations. A general authorization is granted for New Year’s Eve celebrations, from 12:00 a.m. until 12:15 a.m. on January 1.
