“Den Hexemeeschter CIGR-DIREGA” (Centre d’Initiative et de Gestion Régional a.s.b.l. Dippach – Reckange – Garnich) is a community service for residents aged 60 and older who live in the municipalities of Dippach, Garnich, or Reckange/Mess. The service has been operating since May 2001 and is based in Reckange/Mess.

The “Hexemeeschter” is not a company, but a social service funded by the Ministry of Labor and the participating municipalities. The service is designed to make life easier for senior citizens.

This is a local, nonprofit service that offers small maintenance and repair jobs around the house at reasonable prices for people:

  • ages 60 and older
  • dependents (e.g., in the event of illness)
  • people with disabilities

Whether it’s mowing the lawn, painting the mailbox, cleaning the grave, or trimming a hedge, the Hexemeeschter team is the right choice for these kinds of jobs. And if you have larger projects that require additional resources, the Hexemeeschter team will help you find the right professional.

The services offered are:

  • minor repairs (locksmithing, carpentry, doors, shutters, etc.)
  • minor plumbing repairs (such as fixing a leaky faucet, unclogging pipes, etc.)
  • light gardening tasks (such as mowing the lawn, digging in the garden, maintaining trees and hedges, etc.)
  • seasonal work (such as raking leaves, shoveling snow, etc.)
  • various tasks (such as maintaining graves, cleaning gutters, etc.)
  • administrative assistance (in various areas such as health insurance, pension plans, and email)
  • household assistance (e.g., grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, hanging curtains, special cleaning tasks, etc.)
