Childcare Center
This concept is based on the idea of the child as a capable individual who takes an active role in their own development, exploring their environment and learning through their discoveries. Children actively participate in organizing their daily routines and choose their activities, the materials they use, and their playmates. The educational staff guide and support this exploratory learning by providing a suitable environment that fosters independent and continuous growth.
Growing Up in Freedom
EDUCATIONAL DESIGN
The arcus daycare centers operate according to the “Welt-Atelier” educational approach. One of its most important principles is the view of the child as a capable individual who takes an active role in their own development, discovers their world, and formulates questions they are eager to answer. Consequently, we must involve children in planning their daily routines and allow them to choose their activities, the materials used, the time spent on these activities, and their social circle—that is, the friends they choose to participate with.
The adult’s role is to guide and support children in their exploratory learning, to organize the space, and to provide specific materials that enable children to engage in ongoing, self-directed development.
