The municipalities of Dippach, Garnich, Küntzig, Kehlen, Kopstal, Simmern, and Strassen have reserved varying numbers of beds for their residents through a cost-sharing arrangement.

The Steinfort Intermunicipal Hospital and its three departments

The Steinfort Intermunicipal Hospital is an institution organized as an intermunicipal association comprising three departments:
a Geriatric Functional Rehabilitation Service that provides care and rehabilitation services to individuals with one or more physical impairments resulting from illness or injury, with the goal of enabling them to return home.
acare facilitythatprovides professional, interdisciplinary care and accommodates, day and night, 52 individuals with reduced independence, whether or not they have cognitive impairments.
apsycho-geriatric day centerthatprovides interdisciplinary professional care and welcomes, during the day, in a warm and welcoming environment, twelve older adults with reduced independence and twelve individuals with cognitive impairments, whether or not they have reduced physical independence.

This is an intermunicipal association whose purpose is to supply drinking water to the reservoirs of the member municipalities, as the distribution of drinking water from local reservoirs has been entrusted to municipal services.

The Syndicate has set itself the goal of preserving and protecting native flora and fauna and their habitats. Through the maintenance, improvement, and creation of habitats, as well as specific species conservation measures, the municipalities aim to make their local contribution to the preservation of globally endangered biodiversity.

The purpose of the Western Intermunicipal Wastewater Treatment Association is to provide wastewater treatment services for the watersheds of the Moyenne-Alzette, Attert, Eisch, and Mamer rivers.

The municipalities of Garnich, Hobscheid, Kehlen, Koerich, Mamer, and Steinfort have established an intermunicipal association called the “Intermunicipal Association for the Creation, Development, Promotion, and Operation of a Regional Business Park in the Western Region of the Country,” abbreviated as “ZARO.”
